2. What information we collect
When you use our website, submit a booking, or contact us via WhatsApp, we may collect:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Property address (suburb and city)
- Project details: floor area (m²), surface type, service required
- WhatsApp conversation content
We do not collect payment card details, identity numbers, or banking information on this website.
3. Why we collect it (purpose)
- To process and confirm bookings for site visits and remote quotes
- To prepare and issue quotes and invoices
- To communicate about your project via email or WhatsApp
- To send administrative notifications (booking confirmations, quote delivery alerts)
- To send occasional marketing communications where you have given consent
We process your information on the legal basis of contractual necessity (to provide the services you request) and, where applicable, legitimate interest or your explicit consent.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Brevo (Sendinblue) — transactional and marketing email delivery. Based in the EU (GDPR-compliant).
- Meta / WhatsApp Business API — messaging platform used to send and receive WhatsApp messages. Subject to Meta's data processing terms.
- Vercel — website hosting. Servers are located outside South Africa; Vercel is GDPR-compliant.
- Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting. Data may be stored outside South Africa. Neon is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
- Groq — AI inference used to power our WhatsApp assistant. Conversation content may be processed by Groq servers.
By using our services you acknowledge that some of your data may be processed outside South Africa. We take reasonable steps to ensure adequate safeguards are in place.
5. Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal information we hold
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request that we delete your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Objection — object to processing for marketing purposes at any time
- Complaints — lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

6. How long we keep your information
- Booking and financial records: 5 years (required for SARS tax compliance)
- Quote and invoice documents: 5 years
- WhatsApp conversation records: 12 months
- Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent
7. Cookies and tracking
This website uses only session cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function (e.g. keeping you logged in to the staff portal). We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No personal data is collected through cookies by third parties.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. These include HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure database hosting.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
